Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

In short

  • We collect only what we need to run AgrifoodQuote.
  • We never sell your information.
  • Your inquiries and quotes are visible only to your account.
  • We use trusted service providers to host the app, process AI requests, take payments, send email and (only with your consent) measure traffic.
  • You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.

1. Who we are

AgrifoodQuote is operated by EUCan AgriSolutions Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), a company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy covers agrifoodquote.com, tariffs.agrifoodquote.com and the AgrifoodQuote application (together, the "Service"). Questions about privacy can be sent to our Privacy Officer at info@canlagrifood.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address and password (stored securely in hashed form by our authentication provider), and the business details you choose to add, such as company name, contact details, default currency, default Incoterm, default payment terms and product or taxonomy notes.

Content you submit. Buyer inquiries you paste into the Service, and everything produced from them: structured inquiry data, inquiry assessments, draft replies, quotes and the prices and terms you enter. Inquiries often contain personal information about your buyers, such as names, company names and email addresses. See section 7 for how we handle that.

Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive limited information from Stripe, such as a customer identifier, your subscription plan and status, and billing dates.

Usage information. The number of inquiries processed each month (to apply plan limits) and basic records of when features are used.

Analytics information — only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (derived from your IP address), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.

Email subscriptions. If you subscribe to our newsletter or tariff-change alerts, your email address and a record of your consent.

Communications. Messages you send us and our replies.

Technical and security information. Our hosting and security providers process IP addresses and request data to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and keep it secure.

What we do not collect. The free Export Readiness Check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or stored.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: processing inquiries, producing structured data, assessments and drafts, and storing your pipeline.
  • To manage accounts, subscriptions, free trials and payments.
  • To apply plan limits and prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents.
  • To send service emails, such as account, billing and trial-ending notices.
  • To send newsletters and alerts, only where you have given consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how the Service is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it.
  • To provide support and respond to your messages.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

The inquiry assessment score is an aid to your own judgement. We do not use it, or any other automated process, to make decisions about any person that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. AI processing

When you submit an inquiry or generate a quote, the relevant text is sent to our AI provider — Google Gemini models, accessed through Lovable's AI gateway — so the Service can return a structured result, an assessment and a draft. The results are stored in your account. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising. Please avoid submitting information the Service does not need, such as bank details or sensitive personal information.

5. Legal bases (EU and UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the Service, and limited business communications where permitted); your consent (analytics cookies and marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting records). In Canada, we rely on your consent, which may be express or implied as permitted by law.

6. How we share information

We never sell personal information. We share it only with:

Service providers that run the Service on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect it:

  • Lovable — application hosting and infrastructure
  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Google — AI model processing; and Google Analytics, only with your consent
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
  • MailerLite — newsletter and alert emails
  • CookieYes — cookie consent management
  • Cloudflare — site delivery and security

Others, only when necessary: where required by law or to protect rights, safety and security; in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy; or with your direction or consent.

7. Your buyers' information

When you submit an inquiry that contains information about your buyers, you decide what is submitted and why. For that information you act as the party responsible for it (the "controller"), and we process it on your behalf to provide the Service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to use it. We will help you respond to requests from individuals where we reasonably can.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may store or process information outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Information processed in another country may be accessible to authorities there under local law.

9. How long we keep information

  • Account and content data: for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (Settings → Privacy), your profile, inquiries, quotes and usage records are permanently deleted from our live systems. Residual copies in backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls that restrict each account to its own data, restricted administrative access, and a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; and complain to a data protection authority. You can export your data and delete your account at any time in Settings. For any other request, email info@canlagrifood.com. We respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity.

You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, or, if you are in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority.

12. Cookies

We use necessary cookies to run the site and, only with your consent, analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details and to change your choices.

13. Email marketing

We send marketing emails only with your consent, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and other applicable laws. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

14. Children

The Service is designed for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here with a new date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in the app.
